Sickness
Cons: wont take any child of mine there
"Totally disgusted with the way they handle the "sick"rules. Our child had become sick and the responsible parents that we are took out of daycare to attend to her needs, lost two weeks of daycare not to mention time off. Called the agency to see what their rules were and they stated as long as the child has no temperature and doesnt appear sick you ca come back. I said even with a cough? yes, they stated, as long as no temprature. So, we did and te first day back at pick up I noticed a child with a severely runny nose - clear and green. I said nothing, the next day te same so I called and they said it may bean allergy or he may have just cried... I said ironic he cried two days in a row the same time.... I asked if he is sick and they said we can't disclose that is priveledged info........... WHAT, instead of saying iwill look int it she was defending the kid. WELL WHAT ABOUT MY CHILD?? that now is sick for the holidays AGAIN. they dont seem to care or want to address thi situation. Oh, I asked well what if that child puts a toy in his mouth? she replied we wash it right away. I said really, with 8 children and two teachers youre gonna catch that?? I didn't tell her that one day I watch our child play through the window and sw a kid put a fake loaf of bread in his mouth and I didnt see a eacher run and wash it. it was put back down onlyfor another child to pick it up.ok, well needless to sa after our child had been coughing for 22 days, no is sick again with runny green nose. NOW, I know its part of growing up, blah blah blah build up resistence, BUT careless parents and teachers allowing a chld that IS sick in school is not what we are paying for or protecting my child or yours!
