"Went to the store 5 minutes before closing on a week night and at no time did they rush me out of the door. They took the time to help me and other customers who were still in the store and it wasn't until I left 30 minutes after closing did I realize they were suppose to be closed. There were at least 10 other customers in the store after hours who were not rushed out because of the close time posted on the door. Great staff, answered all my questions, and I got everything I needed the first time. I will definately go back and recommend this location to pool owners who want it right the first time around. My wife and I planned on purchasing an in-ground pool in the summer of 2007. During that August we interviewed three local contractors and it was apparent Royal Pools and Spas was the only choice. The four main reasons we choose Royal are, prior purchase (Colman hot tub), extensive experience (50 years), no subcontracting, and customer care after the sale.
Beth and her team spent significant time helping us consider the best pool that fit within our budget. They explained the differences and pros/cons of fiberglass, gunite, and steel wall vinyl lined alternatives. Options ranging from under pool plumbing, diving boards, fill lines, and type of decking (pavers Vs. concrete affects the build of the pool itself) were discussed prior to the installation. My wife and I were also impressed with Royal?s willingness to visit our home (twice) to help choose the best location for the pool and help us visualize it?s placement using an actual size/shape pattern placed on the grass. Every detail of the contract was explained prior to execution (including potential costly issues like ledge, concrete pumps, etc).
Once the contracts were signed excavation took place within the target dates Royal set. Greg and his staff were one of the most professional crews we?ve employed. The work area was always neat and safe. I was relieved when only a few feet of lawn surrounding the pool was disturbed. During construction we were updated on progress and Greg was courteous enough to consider our opinion on placement of items such as ladders, pump, and filter before they were installed. The project was completed on schedule and the amounts paid to Royal were exactly as expressed in the contract.
Joel from Royal opened the pool in April of 2008 (included in the contract) and took the time to show me how to set the timer, run the pump, open and close the valves associated with the main drains and skimmers, and use the auto vacuum. Joel?s advice was geared towards a first time pool owner and I was able to apply what I learned immediately. Using the recommended Sustain pool products and taking advantage of Royal?s free water testing service has kept my pool crystal clear all season long.
