"My friend and I Had dinner at the Gateway in December 2009. Only a few tables were occupied but we were seated directly next to a family with young children. The salad bar, included with dinner, was badly in need of attention- actually a mess. Spills and drips were everywhere, some dressings had formed "skin" on the top, and offerings had not been refilled. There were 3 soups available, but unlabeled. Worst, my dinner companion was served fried scallops that were not even warm all the way through. His meal was replaced but so we ended up eating in shifts.
Server was pleasant but inattentive, and no compensation offered for the inconvenience. "

"My husband & I have eaten there 3 times now. Once for breakfast and twice for dinner. A steak was tough even though ordered rare. The onion soup on the alda bar was sooo salty that I couldn't finish it as was their eggplant parmagian. They have the absolute worst tasting meatloaf I have ever eaten!! The French toast was truly made with old bread!! How many days old?? And at 0930 there was salad on the salad bar. What's up with that?"

"I agree with the comment below, it is ridiculously over priced for a diner. They like to serve that you had not ordered and when you happened to confront them of this their responce in return is unpleasant. If you happen to ask them to return the wrong order they took, they still expect for you to pay for the returning item and the correct one as well. So be prepared to be given an attitude and pay double the amount for one order."

Pros: Waiter I had was friendly on one occasion, but that's just it -- on one occasion

Cons: Food isn't as cheap as I thought it'd be, tables needed to be cleaner

"I've eaten here a few times. You'd expect diner food to be a bit on the inexpensive side; while the food is not ridiculously expensive, don't expect to get a bargain. As for food quality, it's all right. The only thing I didn't like to see were the flies buzzing around the salad bar area and landing on the salad and stuff.

Cons: Stay away from the seafood items

"I have eaten here many times. Stick with traditional diner fare (burgers, sandwiches, etc). I don't care for the more expensive items."
